One of the
problems when coloring blonde hair is how to keep the yellow base color
in the hair. Because hair color molecules are too large, only 30% of
the hair color is penetrated into the hair. That means 70% of the hair
color is lost down the drain. This is one reason why color fades and
oxidizes so quickly.
Besides fading, another coloring concern is the harsh, brassy tones that result from coloring with hi-lift tints.
Color Solutions
Lock-in Blonde can be used as a gold base filler and a hair-tone
corrector to help insure color consistency; as an additive to warm-up
fading blondes; as a neutralizer to brassy tones.
Lock-in
Blonde has been formulated with smaller organic color molecules,
wetting agents, and chelating stabilizers to help increase color
penetration so that up to 90% of the color will be "locked-in" the
cortex of the hair.
It is compatible with
any other hair color or hair coloring additive, and performs well with
any level of hair without changing the hair color.
