Break the Color Code

Give your look a dramatic lift with the season’s hot new hues.

  1. The rounded yet precise silhouette of this cut makes it clear why the styles of the swinging ‘60s have made a comeback. The rich burgundy color adds warmth that’s especially flattering around the face.
  2. Multi-hued red tones add depth to sleek, fine hair. keeping the highlights and lowlights subtle rather than chunky ensures that nothing distracts from the rounded, striking silhouette of this ‘60s-inspired cut.

  3. Loads of skinny, choppy layers give fine hair a free-and-easy attitude. The golden highlights further accentuate this look’s breezy pieciness. Define ends with pinches of pomade.

  1. The rounded shape and curved, yet choppy, fringe keep this gamine cut from coming across as unwearably harsh. At the same time, the deep coal color keeps the style from becoming overly cutesy.
  2. It’s easy for straight, fine hair to end up looking flat. The weaving of subtle layers throughout this bob adds texture and dimension. So does the addition of chestnut tones throughout the cocoa base color.
  3. A rich, warm shade like this chocolaty brown adds a sense of depth-and even a bit of mystery-to fine or thin hair. To play up the jagged edges of the cut, run hair through a flat iron once it’s dry.
