If you've had your hair lightened and then decided platinum just isn't your thing, go back to your colorist and she can simply apply a darker toner to get the shade you prefer.
Any good salon professional will be happy to adjust your color if you're not completely satisfied.
If you've used a permanent color to lighten only a little and still want it darker, try using a mild semipermanent or a temporary color until it's time for a touch-up, then use a darker product.
Occasionally, hair is so damaged that it just can't absorb color. In that case, your only recourse is to either have the damage cut off or wait for healthier hair to grow in. This might be the right time to treat yourself to a fun new hat.

My client wanted auburn hair color. she previously colored her hair jet black. I bleached out the jet black, but the roots are lighter. when I added the auburn semi-permanent color to her hair the roots are still lighter auburn than the rest of her hair. What should I do to correct the roots.

i have a client that has put many colours in her hair.i colour tested the hair and then bleached the colour out to a degree that would not damage her hair further. Then applied colour 12/1 and 12/11 mix. There was a lot of red to remove. The end result was light roots and reddy blonde ends. Now she wants to go colour 8.she has afro hair.not breaking but alittle porous.can i pre-pig and add colour 8

I tried being my own hairdresser and made a huge mistake on my hair. I have medium brown hair and wanted to highlight my hair and it turned out way to blonde and covered more area than I wanted. What should I do? I just wanted some blonde highlights going thur it. Please help me figure out how to get the blonde to go away without having to cut my hair. Thanks

My last colour was a bleached base and made my hair very blonde, which was the desired effect at the time. I'm now travelling and can't get my roots touched up so I'd like some advice on whether I can dye my hair back to my original hair colour(quite aa lot darker), without the bleached parts going a funny colour. Please help.

Today a colorist colored half of my hair too light of a color. I don't know why she left the back dark half way down and colored the top half a real light shade of red. I asked for highlights.
