Coloring can add spice and enhance many hairstyles. It's
fun and rewarding when it comes out dazzling, yet it can be devastating
when it works out wrong. A great color should look as natural as possible.
A good color can add shine, drama and fun to your hair. It can make some
hair types easier to style. Although the majority of women color to cover
gray, many women color for the fun of having a new look, and the pizzazz
it can add to your hairstyle.
If you decide to color your hair it would be a wise idea
to first educate yourself. You can save yourself some tears and unwanted
disastrous results. Remember, if your hair is in a damaged condition before
coloring it may very well become worse afterward. Make sure you have your
hair in the best possible condition before coloring. For the best results,
stay within two shades of your natural hair color.

I am auburn and periodically have an all over colour with blonde/red highlights - I would really like to go blonde - will this work on me?

i have long thin very blonde hair,,how ever my natrual colour is a mousy brown (which i dont like!!) i want to go dark but dont know how dark i have a peachy complection and have very light green eyes !!

Hey, I was naturally blonde when i was younger and now im a horrible dark mousy colour ive been dying my hair brown for ages because i have quite dark eyebrows but i wana have blonde highlights now, i have blue eyes and a cool complexion (dark brown eyebrows) do you think blonde will suit me ? and what shade? terri, first of allm depending on how many times you have already had chemicals put into your hair, whether coloring perming etc, that will determine whether your hair will go thin. second, if you are planning on going blonde from brown,that might not be the wisest idea, because since your natural hair is brown, the hairdresser will most likely have to bleach your hair which could make it VERY thin. also since your natural hair is brown, the blonde coloring will fade very quickly. my advice to you would be to keep your natural color, but if you are looking to spice it up, you should get simple golden highlights, but keep in mind that while your hair grows out, so will the highlights so you will need to get them redone every so often. you are welcome.
